My goodness, these are delicious – but so expensive when eating out. Here’s the perfect recipe to save some money but not skimp on flavor!
This Chick−Fil−A Chicken Sandwich Copycat recipe is easier to make than you think. I don’t know about you, but anytime I can find an easy recipe and save money cooking my own delicious recipe, I’m in!

Chick−Fil−A Chicken Sandwich Copycat

Ingredients…

1 c. dill pickle juice
1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk (or milk)
1 ½ c. flour
3 Tbs. powdered sugar
2 tsp salt
1 ½ tsp pepper
½ tsp paprika
Peanut or canola oil
Dipping Sauce
¼ c. mayo
2 tsp. yellow mustard (or Dijon)
2 Tbs. BBQ sauce
2 Tbs. honey
½ tsp. lemon juice, if desired

Instructions…

*Combine dipping sauce ingredients. Set aside.
*Cut chicken into roughly 1″ pieces and place in zippered bag with pickle juice to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
*Whisk together milk and egg in a large bowl.
*Drain pickle juice from chicken and add the chicken to the egg mixture. Toss chicken to ensure all pieces are coated with the egg.
*Drain excess egg mixture.
*In a heavy skillet, heat oil over medium heat to about 375.
*In a zippered bag, combine flour, powdered sugar, paprika, salt and pepper. Shake well to mix. Add chicken to zippered bag and shake to coat.
*Cook chicken pieces in oil until crispy and browned (about 3 to 4 minutes). Drain cooked on paper towels.
*Serve with the dipping sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
  • ½ c. Pickle Juice
  • 2 Eggs
  • ¼ c. Milk
  • 1 c. Flour
  • 2 Tbs. Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Celery Salt
  • ½ tsp Basil
  • 1 c. Peanut or canola oil for frying
  • 4 Buns buttered and toasted
  • Pickle Slices

Instructions

  • Put chicken in zippered bag and lb. gently with the flat side of a mallet until about 1/2″ thick.
  • Cut each breast into 2 equal pieces.
  • Marinate chicken in the pickle juice for about an hour.
  • Beat together egg and milk in a bowl.
  • Mix together the flour, sugar, and spices in another bowl.
  • Heat the oil in a skillet to about 350.
  • Dip each chicken piece into the egg covering both sides, then coat in flour on each side.
  • Fry each chicken piece for 2 minutes on each side, or until golden and cooked through.
  • Place on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  • Then serve on toasted buns with pickle slices.
