This Butterfly Wings & Pineapples Crochet Doily is a large 16-3/4″ beauty and a free pattern below for it!
This Butterfly Wings & Pineapples Crochet Doily is originally from a vintage book called Star Book 137 with the name of Pineapples Large and Small Doily Patterns. I choose to make this doily because to me, it appeared to be framed by butterflies and pineapples; hence, the reason for the name I gave it.

The thread I used for this was Aunt Lydia #10 Cotton Thread in Ecru color.
The original pattern states a finished size of 15″, but mine is much larger. This is due to a combination of my crocheting more loosely with this pattern and perhaps ‘stretching’ it out a bit much during ‘blocking’, but I do love the size.
Within this pattern are actually two crochet doilies! I have made both sizes and they are both very pretty. For ‘smaller’ doily in this pattern I made in a pretty lavender color.
