This Arcanoweave Textured Crochet Doily is absolutely Gorgeous and has texture all over!
The crochet thread I used for this Arcanoweave Textured Crochet Doily project is called Curio #10 Thread, 100% Mercerized Cotton. This crochet thread is wonderful to work with and does not fade like some others do. I have been very pleased using it in my crochet thread doily projects.
Colors I choose to complete this project with were Hollyberry and Natural, a perfect combination of contrasting colors which really allows the texture to ‘pop’. My finished size for this Arcanoweave Textured Crochet Doily was 16″.
Arcanoweave Textured Crochet Doily requires:
size 10 crochet thread
(yardage will depend on how may parts you choose to complete)
1.75 mm hook
My finished size after 3 parts: 16’’ in diameter
The original pattern is capable of the completion of 7-parts. I personally was totally satisfied after the completion of 3-parts because I liked how the edge looked at this point. At this point I had completed 41 total rounds. You may choose to finish off after any part, all of which will be beautiful!
Stiches used:
beg- beginning
ch- chain
dc- double crochet
hdc- half double crochet
sc- single crochet
st(s)- stitch(es)
yo- yarn over
FPdc- front post double crochet
FPsc- front post single crochet
BPdc- back post double crochet
Special Stitches:
*beg 3-dc cluster- ch 2, keeping last loop of each dc on hook, 2 dc in space indicated, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook.
*3-dc cluster- keeping last loop of each dc on hook, 3 dc in space indicated, yo and draw through all 4 loops on hook.
*cluster- ch 3, dc in third ch from hook.
*picot- ch 3, slip st in third ch from hook.
*FPdc decrease- keeping last loop of each FPdc on hook, FPdc around the post of next 2 sts indicated, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook.
*small picot- ch 2, slip st in second ch from hook.

Although the stitches used are pretty standard and basic, the means by which some steps are completed are a bit tricky and take practice to get the texture to appear correctly.
